Bosch has now begun volume production of its Fuel-Cell Power Module (FCPM) at its Stuttgart-Feuerbach location. FREYR Battery has been awarded a €100-million grant from the European Union to support development of FREYR’s Giga Arctic project in Norway. Hitachi Astemo announced that Isuzu Motors has adopted its sensing system in its new ELF light-duty truck model. Using a wide-angle stereo camera, the sensing system enables collision damage mitigation braking at intersections and on single-track roads. With its enhanced safety equipment, the new ELF is the first light-duty truck in Japan to be equipped with braking that not only mitigates collision damage from the front, but also for right and left turns at intersections.
The US Department of Energy (DOE) released a Notice of Intent (NOI), which includes a Request for Information (RFI) ( DE-NOI-0202301 ), to invest up to $1 billion in a demand-side initiative to support the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) ( earlier post ). @nov22 In reply to nov22. Tesla does not make all batteries in-house. It just buys most batteries from panasonic, LG, and of course from China's CATL, the world's largest battery maker. Tesla's gigapress casting machines are bought from Hong Kong's LK Technology, a leading maker of gigapress. Again, gigapress is not something invented by tesla. BYD, the leader in EV worldwide, is the only EV maker that makes all the batteries for all its cars.
