New stable water-splitting catalyst doesn’t require expensive iridium

Researchers have developed a nickel-stabilized, ruthenium dioxide (Ni-RuO 2 ) anode catalyst for proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis. The ruthenium—a more abundant precious metal—serves as a promising alternative to the more rare and expensive iridium—currently the practical anode catalyst for electrolysis. The Ni-RuO 2 catalyst shows high activity and durability in acidic OER for PEM water electrolysis.

BMW Group Plant Leipzig pilots flexible hydrogen-capable burner in paintshop

BMW Group Plant Leipzig has launched the first fuel-flexible hydrogen-capable burner for paint dryers—the first car plant in the world to do so. The system can run on hydrogen (H 2 ), methane (CH 4 ) or a mixture of the two. It can also switch between fuels while in operation. Initially, it will run in trial operations.

New Tesla Colors are coming to the U.S.


Elon Musk has announced that new Tesla colors will come to the U.S. Tesla made headlines recently with their hot new colors; Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red. These are easily the most dynamic colors offered by the company currently, changing in color depending on light and angle. Disappointingly, these colors will only be available in Europe and the Middle East as they are only being used at Tesla Giga-Berlin. But according to Elon Musk, new colors will also be coming to the U.S.

Twitter user @King_Emm_ shared a screenshot of the notice that at its 77th Board meeting held on October 21 in Blantyre, it granted its first-ever high-speed low latency broadband satellite internet service licenses to Starlink Lilongwe Limited, a company owned by SpaceX.
