BMW has added the new BMW i4 eDrive35 to the i4 range of EVs. The BMW i4 eDrive35 joins the BMW i4 eDrive40 and BMW i4 M50. US deliveries are expected to start in the first quarter of 2023 with a starting base price of $51,400 plus $995 destination and handling. BMW i4 eDrive40. The BMW i4 eDrive35 is driven by the same Gen5 eDrive powertrain technology found in the BMW iX and the other i4 models.

A new study from Juniper Research forecasts that the volume of electric vehicle battery pack shipments will reach 30 million in 2027 up from 10 million in 2022. The research identified falling vehicle costs, often directly caused by government subsidies, and increasing awareness around the environmental impact of current mobility services as key drivers behind the growth in electric vehicle battery production.

Global investment in renewable energy totaled $226 billion in the first half of 2022, setting a new record for the first six months of a year, according to Renewable Energy Investment Tracker 2H 2022, a new report published by research firm BloombergNEF (BNEF).
