Chevron Confirms first oil production from deepwater Papa-Terra offshore Brazil

Chevron’s Brazilian subsidiary and Petrobras have started crude oil production from Papa-Terra’s floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) offshore Brazil. Chevron holds a 37.5% interest in the Papa-Terra field, while Petrobras, the project operator, has the remaining 62.5%.

Petrobras starts production from South America’s first tension leg wellhead platform

Thirteen production wells will be connected to the P-61, and the well currently in operation is the PPT-16. The P-61 TLWP is connected to a Tender Assisted Drilling Platform and is equipped with a drilling and well completion rig. Papa Terra field is operated by Petrobras (62.5%) in partnership with Chevron (37.5%).
