U Delaware team demonstrates efficient direct ammonia fuel cell for vehicles

Green Car Congress

The researchers started by analyzing the economics of hydrogen-, nitrogen-, and carbon-based fuels made by carbon-neutral pathways in a post-fossil world in which only water, air, and renewable electricity are available for fuel synthesis. Source-to-tank cost comparison of carbon-neutral transportation fuels.

Daimler releases ‘open source’ hydrogen fueling standard for heavy trucks

Baua Electric

This week, Daimler Truck and Linde Engineering presented sLH2, a jointly developed refueling technology for sub-cooled liquid hydrogen – and they’ve made the technology openly available to anyone who wants it. sLH2 can do all of that for less money than “conventional” hydrogen solutions. The best part? Another huge step?

Battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros approved as truck-trailer combo with total weight of 40 tons

Green Car Congress

The vehicle is already available to order for customers in this configuration. The energy gained when braking is fed back into the batteries of the eActros, and is then once more available for driving. The Mercedes-Benz battery-electric eActros has now been approved as a truck-and-trailer combination with a total weight of 40 tons.
