On International Women’s Day, the Kia EV9 was announced as the “Supreme Winner” of the Women's Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) 2024. These women also decided that the Volvo EX30 was the “Best Family Car,” the BMW 5 Series served as the “Best Large Car”, and that the Volkswagen Amarok ended up being the “Best 4x4 or Pick-up.”

On 11 August, GM invited approximately 75 journalists and auto analysts to spend a day learning about the new GM. The day was split between a morning session at the GM tech center in Warren and an afternoon session at the GM proving grounds in Milford, MI. GM’s identify in the US starts with its four core brands.

Kizashi is slated to begin sales in North America later this year as a 2010 model; Suzuki introduced a concept Kizashi at the New York Auto Show in 2008. The Nikkei reports that Suzuki will introduce the Kizashi sedan into the North American market in 2011, using a next-generation system co-developed with GM. Tags: Hybrids.
