Four first-of-a-kind 3D-printed fuel assembly brackets, produced at the Department of Energy’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, have been installed and are now under routine operating conditions at the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant Unit 2 in Athens, Alabama.

U Alabama study finds LTE C-V2N and DSRC connected vehicle latency approximately equivalent for infrastructure messages

A side-by-side comparison of connected vehicle technology at 85 traffic signals in the Tuscaloosa, AL area showed that latency in delivering safety messages from roadside units (RSUs) to vehicles via dedicated short range radios (DSRC) and LTE cellular (C-V2N) was “approximately equivalent,” according to a study by the University of Alabama.
