After four years of development work, the BMW iX5 Hydrogen vehicle and its development project are entering its next phase as the first vehicles enter a pilot fleet of less than 100 vehicles. The fleet is being deployed internationally for demonstration and trial purposes.

New research released by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry confirms that fleets across the country are increasingly relying on biodiesel for their existing and new diesel vehicles. Average emissions from new passenger cars in Europe increased for the third consecutive year in 2019, reaching 122.3?grams million new cars were registered in 2019 in the EU, Iceland, Norway and the United Kingdom, and about 38% of these were SUVs. MAN is testing both the use of a fuel cell and an H 2 combustion engine. Rolls-Royce is releasing mtu rail engines for use with sustainable fuels. The mtu Series 1800 engines which are used in mtu PowerPacks, as well as Series 1300 and 1500 for locomotives and multi-purpose vehicles, are already approved for use with synthetic fuels such as HVO. DB Cargo also uses HVO in other locomotives in its fleet.
