MAN Truck & Bus presents electric delivery truck CitE at IAA 2018

At the IAA 2018, MAN Truck & Bus is presenting the MAN CitE 15-tonne electric truck concept, designed specifically for city cargo traffic. Using this agile approach, the MAN CitE could thus be implemented in a period of only 18 months and finally presented ready to drive at the IAA 2018.

CARB: ridesharing vehicle fleet CO2/PMT in 2018 approximately 50% higher than the statewide passenger vehicle fleet average

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released the 2018 Base-year Emissions Inventory Report , as required by Senate Bill 1014 (SB 1014, California Clean Miles Standard). The analysis indicates that the industry-wide TNC fleet has a 7% lower passenger occupancy than the California statewide passenger vehicle fleet.

Dachser to add 50 Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul electric trucks to fleet

The logistics service provider Dachser is planning to add 50 units of Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul ( earlier post ), presented at this year’s IAA Transportation, to its European fleet. Dachser intends to use the eActros LongHaul configured as a 6x2 swap body vehicle with a storage height of 1,120 mm.

Mayor of London: all new London taxis will need to be zero-emission capable from 2018

As part of my mission to improve our air quality and drive innovation, I’m making a firm pledge to Londoners that from 2018 all taxis presented for licensing should be zero emission capable. Around 3,000 of the most polluting taxis have also been removed from the London fleet.

Penske Truck Leasing and NFI Industries starting to test the first fully electric Freightliner trucks from end of 2018 onwards
