When the final batch of new bus for London vehicles is delivered in 2016, more than 1,000 hybrid buses will be in service on the streets of London. The first batch of 30 buses, enough to convert a full route, will enter passenger service in April next year. Another route could be converted by next August.

Toyota anticipates that the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid—unveiled earlier this year at the New York International Auto Show ( earlier post ) and the eighth hybrid in Toyota’s line-up—will receive EPA ratings of 34 mpg city / 31 mpg highway / 33 mpg combined (6.9, l/100 km, respectively) for both 2016 RAV4 Hybrid models.

Alstom presented its Coradia iLint hydrogen fuel cell regional train at InnoTrans, the railway industry’s largest trade fair, taking place in Berlin from 20 to 23 September 2016. If the battery is charged enough, the fuel cell is powered down to only supply the onboard systems / auxiliary converter.
