The Environment Committee of the European Parliament voted to include CO 2 emissions from the maritime sector in the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS). In 2015 in the EU, 13% of the overall EU greenhouse gas emissions came from the transport sector. This is more than the emissions of any EU member state.

This is the second EPIC investment plan and covers the years 2015-2017. The approved 2014-2015 Investment Plan Update for the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector, which accounts for about 40% of California''s carbon emissions.

The joint research flight campaign has been given the title ND-MAX/ECLIF 2 (NASA/DLR-Multidisciplinary Airborne eXperiments/Emission and CLimate Impact of alternative Fuel).

Toyota Motor Corporation revealed the exterior design and Japan pricing of its hydrogen fuel cell sedan, first unveiled as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show last year. To support the planned commercial launch of fuel cell electric vehicles by automakers in 2015 (FCEVs), California needs 68 hydrogen fueling stations in five clusters in which most early adopters are expected, according to a new report issued by the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP).
