BMW Group and Vattenfall Europe have begun a second phase of the MiniE test fleet in Berlin, with the transfer of 70 MINIE electric vehicles to private customers (30 units) and fleet users (40 units). The MINIE were charged mainly at night, using certified green electricity from Vattenfall.
The BMW Group today issued a statement in response to published reports that have incorrectly stated that the size of the fleet of BMW ActiveEs ( earlier post ) that will be deployed during the BMW Group’s second-phase field trial in the US will be limited to 200 vehicles. Let me reassure you that nothing could be further from the truth.

It’s in fleet lease use in Japan already and I have confidence they’ll be producing them and selling them to actual people.
