Stena Line is seeking novel, cost-effective approaches to recover energy from exhaust gases from ship engines and to transform it into a more useful energy form (e.g., electricity to supply hotel loads on board the ship). These energy losses are primarily radiant heat loss and the sensible heat of exhaust gases.

We are optimizing fuel cells from the bottom up for heavy-duty marine use. TECO 2030 plans to deliver a marine hydrogen solution that is more efficient, compact and durable than fuel cells based on modified automotive stacks. Total greenhouse gas emissions are to be reduced by at least 50% by 2050.

bp has successfully loaded the first LNG cargo from Mozambique’s offshore Coral Sul FLNG (floating liquefied natural gas) facility, the country’s first LNG project and first floating LNG facility deployed in the ultra-deep waters of the African continent. FLNG vessels are floating LNG production, storage and offloading units.
