Researchers at WMG, University of Warwick, have repurposed end-of-life electric vehicle batteries as small energy storage systems (ESS) for off-grid locations in developing countries or isolated communities. All parts were either sourced from the JLR service department or were low cost components purchased from any electrical retailer.

And EV owners would become entrepreneurs, selling electricity back to the grid. And indeed, that’s how promoters of vehicle-to-grid technology perceive the EV.

Fusion Fuel ( earlier post ) completed the interconnection of its H2Évora plant to the Portuguese electric grid and has successfully commissioned the facility. While this modest facility has effectively been superseded by some of the larger-scale projects we have under development, its value cannot be understated.
