Successful demonstration of FlexMethanol conversion of wind power to methanol

Equinor and RWE to develop hydrogen-fired power plants in Germany, Norway-to-Germany hydrogen pipeline

The partners aim to replace coal-fired power plants with hydrogen-ready gas-fired power plants in Germany, and to build production of low carbon and renewable hydrogen in Norway that will be exported through pipeline to Germany. Blue hydrogen in large quantities can make a start, with subsequent conversion into green hydrogen supply.

QM Power and University of Kentucky demonstrate 50 kW/liter electric motor; DOE 2025 power density goal

QM Power and the SPARK Lab at University of Kentucky shared the combined results of a large-scale, multi-objective design optimization study, and lab testing of a prototype motor designed to meet the 2025 power density goals set by the US Department of Energy (DOE). An open frame lab prototype was designed and manufactured by QM Power.

Rolls-Royce launches mtu hydrogen solutions for power generation

Rolls-Royce is further developing its mtu gas engine portfolio for power generation and cogeneration to run on hydrogen as a fuel and thus enable a climate-neutral energy supply. Already today, gensets powered by mtu Series 500 and Series 4000 gas engines can be operated with a gas blending of 10% hydrogen.

MAN supplying mixed medium- and high-speed engines for hybrid foundation/wind turbine installation vessels

MAN Energy Solutions has won a fourth order to supply engines to Chinese shipbuilder, COSCO Heavy Industries, in Qidong for the construction of a second F-Class installation vessel used for the installation of offshore wind turbines and foundations. The previous three orders were for engines for two X-class and another F-class vessel.
