Volvo Cars launched the battery-electric Volvo C40 Recharge; based on the CMA vehicle platform it is the first Volvo model designed as pure electric only. Following the introduction of the XC40 Recharge and now the C40 Recharge, Volvo Cars will roll out several additional electric models in coming years.

The City of New York will invest $420 million in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and alternative fuels to accelerate the transition to an all-electric municipal vehicle fleet. All light-duty, medium-duty, and non-emergency heavy-duty vehicles will be converted to electric by 2035.

Munro Vehicles , a manufacturer of all-electric 4x4s, and Scotland’s only volume production car company, has revealed its second model, the Mk_1 Pick-Up. A 220kW electric motor and a choice of Utility and Range variants are also offered. With a fully charged battery, the MK_1 has a range of more than 190 miles.
