Elemental boron effective photothermocatalyst for the conversion of CO2 for fuels and chemicals

Green Car Congress

Researchers in Japan and China developed an efficient method for CO 2 reduction over elemental boron catalysts in the presence of only water and light irradiation through a photothermocatalytic process. At this temperature it reacts with water, forming hydrogen and boron oxides in situ. —Jinhua Ye.
