The California Air Resources Board adopted unanimously a regulation establishing a 33% renewable electricity standard. Under the regulation, one-third of the electricity sold in the state in 2020 must come from renewable sources of energy. The new regulation will be one of AB 32’s largest emission-reduction strategies.

Chevrolet dealers in all 50 states in the US are now taking orders for the 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The starting price of the 2012 model is more than $1,000 below the 2011 base model. Chevrolet expects to build up to 45,000 Volts for retail and fleet customers in the United States during calendar year 2012.
