Nissan and Hydro-Québec partner to expand the public charging network in Québec; 20 DC Fast Charging sites in 2015, 5 in 2016

At the Montreal International Auto Show, Nissan announced it will support the expansion of the public charging network “ the Electric Circuit ” with an investment in 25 DC Fast Charging sites. Equipped with both CHAdeMO and SAE Combo plugs, the DC Fast Chargers will accommodate charging the Nissan LEAF and most electric vehicles.

Toyota recalling about 701,000 Gen 3 Prius vehicles in US over software issue in inverter assembly

The inverter converts high-voltage direct current (DC) stored in the high-voltage (HV) battery into high-voltage alternating current (AC) for the motor/generator. It also converts AC into DC during regenerative braking for storage in the HV battery. No other Toyota or Lexus models are affected, according to the company.
