Liquid hydrogen (LH 2 ) is increasingly being more concretely envisaged in the development departments of large aircraft manufacturers as a sustainably producible fuel for future generations of commercial aircraft.

Aquarius Engines unveils free-piston linear engine operating on 100% hydrogen

Israel-based Aquarius Engines unveiled a hydrogen-fueled version of its free-piston linear engine new hydrogen engine. The 10kg machine, based on the same technology as the original patented single-piston linear engine, operates exclusively on hydrogen. The Aquarius free-piston linear engine which now operates 100% on hydrogen.

Airbus exploring hydrogen fuel cell propellor “pods” for aircraft propulsion
