Renault presents the 235 mpg EOLAB prototype; plug-in “Z.E. Hybrid”; targeting production

Renault has presented EOLAB, a new prototype which explores ways to deliver ultra-low fuel consumption. EOLAB delivers NEDC combined cycle fuel consumption of 1 liter/100 km (235 mpg US), equivalent to 22g of CO 2 /km. As a lighter car needs less energy to be moved forward, the battery can be both smaller and less expensive.
