LG Magna e-Powertrain expands footprint with new facility in Hungary; 4th plant worldwide

LG Magna e-Powertrain, the Joint Venture (JV) between LG Electronics (LG) and Magna (Magna) formed in 2021 ( earlier post ), announced at IAA Mobility 2023 that it is expanding its footprint with a new facility in Miskolc, Hungary. The company has also received strong support from both the Hungarian government and local authorities.

GS Yuasa to set up SLI lithium-ion battery plant in Hungary

GS Yuasa Corporation will establish a manufacturing subsidiary company, GS Yuasa Hungary Ltd. in Hungary and build a new plant for lithium-ion batteries. GS Yuasa will also consider manufacturing lithium-ion cells in this plant in future. Initial annual production capacity will be 500,000 batteries.

Audi switching from truck to rail for battery delivery
