I ran out and purchased several 1-guage pre-constructed battery cables from Napa today to wire the batteries together, but they were very expensive (16 of them at $12.95 Parkrose hardware had it for $7.00/foot

This version had mounting tabs that fit well with the bolt holes from the original kit. The right tab hole lines up with the bolt in the upper right corner of the battery box. With the added weight of the batteries, the vehicle is very difficult to stop, especially on downhills at stoplights.

It's in the place of the most-positive battery terminal in the fuel compartment. The kit requires the 12V accessory battery to run the exhaust fans while the car charges overnight, so I altered the circuit to use an external 12V laptop supply instead so I wouldn't drain the accessory battery.

Here is the 9-in-1 wire for the AC kit pulled through the grommet between the passenger compartment and the fuel compartment. The instructions call for a "Y" connector which ElectroAuto didn't supply. Note the thick battery cable going through the lower grommet on the left to connect the front batteries to the rear of the vehicle.

In the Aluminum the most challenging part is going to be the battery cover, which is going to have fins. Oben is assembling their own battery packs - and it was heartening to know that they are taking the LFP route, albeit with cylindrical cells. Much cheaper to manage demand than to manage supply. Or about 6 to 8 hours a day.
