While the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid and the Chevy Malibu Hybrid rack up four-figure sales in most months, the third vehicle to use elements of that same drivetrain remains all but invisible in the U.S. That's the 2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-In Hybrid, a version of the CT6 large luxury sedan from GM's luxury brand.

The products are expected to build on GM’s 2016 sales record of 3.87 This year, GM will bring to the market more new energy vehicles. SAIC-GM’s Wuhan plant phase II will start operation this year.

GM China will open a battery assembly plant in Shanghai later this year to support the growth of its new energy vehicle line-up. From 2017 through 2020, two-thirds of new energy vehicles launched by GM in China will be dedicated new energy vehicles.
