Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD has been awarded a substantial eBus order from public transport operator, Transdev AB, in Sweden. The order for 52 BYD electric buses is the largest order that Transdev has placed with BYD for electric buses since 2015 when it first introduced the BYD brand to its fleet.

Hyundai has begun assembly-line production of the ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle for fleet use; the first ix35 FCV rolled off the line at its Ulsan manufacturing facility today. 2015 target: 130 g CO 2 /km. The average CO 2 emissions level of a new car sold in 2013 was 127 g CO 2 /km; the target for 2015 was 130 g/km. Thus, in 2013 the European Union fleet already collectively met its legal target for 2015. The biggest cars, measured by mass, were bought in Latvia, Sweden and Luxembourg.

In December 2012, Hyundai will begin production of the ix35 Fuel Cell crossover vehicle at its Ulsan manufacturing facility in Korea, with a target of building up to 1,000 vehicles by 2015.
