Statoil greenlights $7B Mariner heavy-oil project in UK North Sea

Statoil has made the investment decision to develop the Mariner heavy oil field development in the UK North Sea. The Mariner Field is located on the East Shetland Platform of the UK North Sea approximately 150 km east of the Shetland Isles. The heavy oil project will require pioneering technology in order to be developed.

Construction begins on Neo Orbis; fuel cell vessel with sodium borohydride hydrogen carrier

DOE Issues $12M FOA and $15M DOE Labs Program Announcement for FY09 to Support Development of Advanced Water Power Technologies
