U of Illinois study shows reduced speed limits save lives in busy cities with minimal impact on travel time

Lower speed limits may help prevent accidents. Their paper is published in the Journal of Public Economics. The city of São Paulo reduced speed limits on highways from 90 to 70 km/h in 2015.
