The Opel Ampera has been on sale for almost two years in Europe, and has been bought by 7,700 customers, who have driven a total of 100 million kilometers (62 million miles) on pure electric power, according to Opel. Currently the Opel Ampera is in third place among European e-car registrations with a market share of almost 10%.
