Kia prepping Washington and Oregon for Soul EV launch; dealers and charging network w/ fast-chargers

Kia Motors America (KMA) is continuing its progressive launch of the Soul EV and adding to the electric vehicle ecosystem in the Pacific Northwest with 20 Soul EV-certified dealers and a charging network. Of the 20 dealers in the region, 12 will be located in Washington and eight in Oregon.

EPA grants waiver for California’s Advanced Clean Car Program

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has formally granted a California Air Resources Board (CARB) request for a waiver of preemption for its Advanced Clean Car (ACC) regulations. In reaching its waiver decision, EPA determined that the CARB ZEV amendments as they affect 2017 and earlier MYs are within the scope of prior EPA waivers.

Ford introduces Mustang Mach-E Rally variant

Mustang Mach-E Rally includes a lithium-ion battery with a 91 kWh usable capacity and is targeting an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles. The Mustang Mach-E Rally is estimated to charge from 10 to 80% in approximately 36 and a half minutes on a DC Fast Charger. There’s also a recovery point built into the front end and included hook.
