And oil only seems cheap. We’ve already decided we’re going to fix already-built houses, offices and factories that waste energy. As batteries get cheaper and smaller, and motors get light enough to fit inside wheels, we’ll be able to upgrade smaller cars. But let’s realize: defending our nation is never cheap.

The Honda FCX Clarity FCEV and the Toyota Mirai FCEV, both use an electric drive motor and a battery pack. The motors are highly efficient, they have the same torque characteristics and they are silent. The only by products are water and a fair degree of heat, the latter indicating a degree of inefficiency and wasted energy.
