Volkswagen shared plans for a new lineup of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) under €25,000. All the vehicles will be produced in Spain. The four new EVs will lead to Volkswagen’s cheapest electric vehicle, which will cost around €20,000, making it the most affordable BEV under the brand.

Sales of Volvo Cars´ Recharge models of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars increased by 31% in January year-on-year, accounting for 40.7% of all Volvo cars sold globally during the month. The share of fully electric cars stood at 16.2%. The increase was led by markets such as the UK, Italy and Belgium.

Following the initial signing by both automakers, Stellantis said the venture was targeting 500,000 EV sales outside of the Chinese market by the end of the decade.
