A fleet of 40 Mobilize Limo will be deployed to validate services set to be made available throughout Europe starting in the second half of 2022.
Singapore-based TUM CREATE unveiled an electric taxi prototype designed for tropical megacities, codenamed EVA, at the Tokyo Motor Show. EVA was designed from the ground-up as an e-taxi and is a result of interdisciplinary research in the areas of energy storage, battery charging, thermal management, and lightweight materials and design.
Ford Motor Company is unveiling the all-electric version of the Ford Transit Connect at the Chicago Auto Show; the small electric van will be in fleet operators’ hands later this year, according to the company. The vehicle is powered by a liquid-cooled 28 kWh lithium-ion battery pack from Johnson Controls-Saft. Earlier post.)
Leveraging some 20 years of experience and data reaching back to its early work with hybrids and the Ranger EV, Ford has developed a battery model and life validation protocol it now uses to predict how lithium-ion batteries are likely to perform under 10 years and 150,000 miles of use (40-season equivalent key life tests).
If the transporter covers fairly normal distances in the city on a daily and weekly basis, a lithium-ion battery with an energy capacity of 48 kWh is recommended. Instead of the large traction battery of the e-Crafter, a smaller lithium-ion battery with an energy capacity of 13.1 Earlier post.)
The resulting hybrid vehicles will be powered by lithium-ion batteries and a 10 kW Plug Power hydrogen fuel cell system. Electric (Battery) Fleets Fuel Cells' This $3-million project is funded by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and includes project partners FedEx Express, Plug Power and Smith Electric Vehicles.
The LHP has initiated more than £50 million (US$76 million) worth of hydrogen projects, attracting and rolling-out new hydrogen buses, taxis, scooters, refueling stations, materials handling vehicles and fuel cell Combined Heat and Power units to London. The car is powered by a 100kW fuel cell stack, and a 24 kW lithium-ion polymer battery.
Most notable is the Lithium-ion battery which has been changed to allow it to fit under e-NV200’s floor without compromising the cargo area. Fleet operators, meanwhile, will love the low running costs. There are some significant changes, however, for e-NV200. The LCV version still has a cargo volume of 4.2

A lithium battery includes an anode, a cathode, a separator, an electrolyte, and a current collector. When the battery is charged, the positive electrode releases some of the lithiumions, which migrate through the electrolyte to the negative electrode. The battery absorbs and stores this energy.
The project will include 15 Nissan cars, 10 Smith electric taxis, five Smith people carriers, a Smith executive minibus, two AVID saloon cars and two Liberty urban Range Rovers, alongside a network of charging points. Newcastle University’s Transport Operations Research Group will monitor and model the performance and use of the vehicles.
These—including, for example, an electric version of the T2, the iconic VW van of the late 1960s and 1970s—were mostly test cars and prototype cars, but also small fleets for special purposes. Now, however, given all the market drivers facing the auto industry (regulations, fossil fuel availability, societal changes, etc.),
Revealed alongside the Tourneo Connect BEV (seen earlier in the year at Geneva) the Focus BEV is the blue oval’s take on the electric-powered family car, featuring the latest lithium-ion battery pack technology, with a capacity of 23kWh and a chassis-mounted 100-kilowatt permanent-magnet electric traction motor.
I- Pace said to have a range of 470 km from its 90 kWh 388 V lithium-ion battery. . Waymo began their operations and testing with Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans, but in 2018 the I-Pace was added to the fleet. It takes only 4.6 seconds to reach 0-60 MPH.
