Many new vehicles that leave the Audi plants in Germany are delivered with R33 fuel—a blend comprising one-third renewable components. Audi plants’ filling stations transitioned to R33 Blue Diesel ( earlier post ) last year; Audi has now introduced the gasoline counterpart, R33 Blue Gasoline.

Just a few months into a joint innovation project ( earlier post ), engineers from Bosch Engineering and Ligier Automotive have built a high-performance vehicle with a hydrogen engine. The Ligier JS2 RH2 has already been driven on test tracks in Germany and will be further developed and tested during the summer.

Following on the introduction of R33 Blue Diesel ( earlier post ), Bosch, Shell, and Volkswagen have now developed a low-carbon gasoline. The new fuel, called Blue Gasoline, similarly contains up to 33% renewables, ensuring a well-to-wheel reduction in carbon emissions of at least 20% per kilometer driven. Every bit of CO?

Aral is piloting two new fuels in Germany: Aral Futura Super 95 and Aral Futura Diesel. gCO 2 e/MJ as the CO2e values for 100% fossil diesel and gasoline, respectively. In parallel with the ramp-up of e-mobility, they are an effective lever for significantly reducing CO 2 emissions in existing internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
