USDOT awarding $55M to support purchase of Low-No buses; electric buses and infrastructure

The US Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced $55 million in grant selections through the Low or No Emission (Low-No) Vehicle program, which funds the development of transit buses and infrastructure that use advanced fuel technologies. Fifty-one projects in 39 states will receive a share of the funding.

California’s GET bus adds 5 more fuel-cell buses from New Flyer

New Flyer of America has received an order from the Golden Empire Transit District (GET bus) for five forty-foot fuel cell-electric Xcelsior CHARGE H2 heavy-duty transit buses, purchased off of the California Department of General Services (CDGS) contract. New Flyer was selected by CDGS as an approved supplier of electric vehicles in 2019.

LA Metro to purchase up to 25 new BYD electric buses as part of $30M pilot project
