Montauk Renewables signs LOI with European Energy to provide CO2 for e-methanol production in Texas

EE North America intends to construct a Power-to-X facility in Texas that would take the biogenic CO 2 from Montauk’s locations and use it in the production of e-methanol. Montauk Renewables captures methane, preventing it from being released into the atmosphere, and converts it into either RNG or electrical power for the electrical grid.

Preem begins production of renewable diesel at Lysekil

For the first time, renewable raw materials are being converted to Swedish Environmental Class 1 diesel (maximum sulfur content of 10 ppm) at Preem’s refinery in Lysekil. The aim is to annually produce up to 950,000 cubic meters (251 million gallons US) of renewable fuel by 2024. About two-thirds of the products are exported.
