The introduction of these vehicles promises to reduce pollution by 99% compared to thermal vehicles. This order for electric buses was planned before the health crisis. Despite the situation, we did not hesitate to complete this order with a Quebec partner because it is part of an ambitious development plan for our activities in Quebec.

The California Air Resources Board approved a new regulation designed to reduce pollution further from ocean-going vessels while docked at California’s busiest ports. An example would be purchasing zero-emission heavy-duty trucks for port use. The rule builds on progress achieved by the At-Berth Regulation adopted in 2007.

The French Government will reduce the purchase tax incentives for lower carbon cars and increase the penalties for high-pollution vehicles beginning in January. France’s bonus-malus scheme provides financial rewards for those who purchase or lease a new vehicle emitting less CO 2 g/km while taxing more heavily polluting cars.

New York City Clean Air Taxi rules are successful in cutting emissions and reducing air pollution, [link] to a new study by researchers at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and Drexel University. They also found these emission reductions were associated with decreases in concentrations of pollutants in the city’s air.

Highland will purchase buses manufactured in North Carolina by Thomas Built Buses, which will be supplied and serviced by American Bus. Converting the school bus fleet will reduce carbon emissions by 25,000 tons per year while cutting diesel pollution harmful to human health, contributing to both Maryland and Montgomery County goals.

HFCs are considered to be super pollutants because they trap heat in the atmosphere thousands of times more effectively than carbon dioxide, the most prevalent greenhouse gas. California is required to reduce HFC emissions 40% below 2013 levels by 2030 under Senate Bill 1383.
