Bus maker Alexander Dennis to fit GKN Gyrodrive flywheel hybrid systems to 250 buses; partners on international development

Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL), Britain’s biggest bus and coach manufacturer, has chosen GKN Hybrid Power as a preferred partner and committed to the purchase of 250 of its Gyrodrive electric flywheel hybrid systems ( earlier post ). BMW launching iX5 Hydrogen pilot fleet

The pressure plate forms a gas-tight and water-tight seal around the stack housing. The hydrogen needed to supply the fuel cell is stored in two 700-bar tanks made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). The BMW Group presented the first BMW iX5 Hydrogen vehicles in a pilot fleet that will go into service this year.

DOE selects 3 hydrogen and fuel cell projects for transportation applications for SBIR/STTR awards
