The cost of that usually starting just below $1,000 or changing the faulty modules (28 modules in a pack) individually that is much cheaper. It is something very cheap to fix and to inspect.

During the late innings of the ICE-age (as in the Internal Combustion Engine age) it has become clear that feeding gasoline and diesel to the next billion new cars is not going to be easy, or cheap. Even after the fall in US crude, gasoline in California costs $4 on average. At that price, California miles are 16 cents each.

With subsidies long in place for nuclear, coal and gas in the US along with the cheap cost of production for coal and natural gas, solar is essentially competing with that $0.10/kWh kWh average cost of electricity in the United States and globally. New Jersey is second only to California in adoption of solar infrastructure.
