Bremer Strassenbahn AG (BSAG) has ordered 35 all-electric eCitaro G low-floor articulated buses from Mercedes-Benz with the latest NMC 3 (NMC: lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt-oxide) battery technology. The latest generation of high-performance batteries (NMC 3) come with improved cell chemistry and a modular battery equipment design.

Bremen orders five Mercedes-Benz eCitaro buses with solid-state batteries

Bremen’s public transport provider Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG) has ordered five new Mercedes-Benz eCitaro electric buses equipped with solid-state batteries. Delivery of the locally emission-free eCitaro buses will take place in early 2022. The batteries combine a very high energy density with a particularly long service life.

Volkswagen Group continues switch to low-emission logistics with order for four more LNG ships

Volkswagen is the first automaker to transport most of its new vehicles overseas using low-emission LNG ships. The further decarbonization of shipping will result in substantial CO 2 reductions, with the use of liquid natural gas enabling Volkswagen to cut the ships’ CO 2 emissions by up to 25% percent (tank-to-wake).
