Those living in polluted cities are more at risk from COVID-19, the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) warned today. Air pollution can cause hypertension, diabetes and respiratory diseases, conditions that doctors are starting to link to higher mortality rates for COVID-19. The European Respiratory Society (ERS) is an EPHA member.

Hybrid cars see higher tax incidence in India compared to their pure petrol counterparts, despite emitting lower pollutants into the environment.

With governments pressuring the auto sector to go green, Ineos Automotive plans to launch an electric 4×4 in 2027, the Fusilier, to be sold alongside current diesel and petrol versions of the Grenadier. It added that demand for EVs was “high”, even if recent data shows evidence of slowing sales in the UK and abroad.

At the same time the Indian mainstream media and the pollution vehicle media have to stop causing hysteria when it comes to EV fires while conveniently ignoring the hundred's of ICE fires happening each month. The vehicle already has temperature management issues as reported by many YouTubers and auto experts. Let's wait and watch.

As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to combat pollution, India has been actively promoting electric vehicles, offering them a low tax rate of just 5%. In contrast, hybrid cars face a significantly higher tax rate of 43%, just below the 48% levied on traditional petrol cars.
