FedEx Express Canada welcomed its first 50 BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric delivery vehicles at an event in Toronto. BrightDrop Zevo 600 in Toronto This initial fleet of 50 electric vehicles (EVs) will service Toronto, Montreal, and Surrey. BrightDrop is manufacturing the Zevo 600s at GM’s CAMI Assembly plant in Ontario.

Nissan Motor and Mitsubishi Motors unveiled their first jointly developed light electric vehicles (EVs)—the Sakura and the eK X EV (pronounced “eK cross EV”), —in Japan. Japan, where the vehicle is produced. The vehicles feature a 20 kWh battery pack supporting a range of 180 km (112 miles) (WLTC).

The top 10 global producers of Li-ion batteries for electric vehicles are all Asian companies, according to an analysis posted on the Visual Capitalist. Chinese companies make up 56% of the EV battery market, followed by Korean companies (26%) and Japanese manufacturers (10%).
