EIA: US large-scale battery storage power capacity increased 35% in 2020

The United States continued a trend of significant growth in large-scale battery capacity, with US battery power capacity reaching 1,650 megawatts (MW) by the end of 2020. Five states account for more than 70% of US battery storage power capacity as of December 2020, with California alone accounting for 31% of the US total (506 MW).
