Ford cuts manufacturing energy use 22% in 6 years; targeting additional 25% Drop by 2016

IMO Adopts Proposal to Designate Waters Off North American Coast As Emission Control Area

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) officially accepted the proposal to designate waters off the North American coasts as an Emission Control Area (ECA). Enforcing the ECA standards will reduce sulfur content in fuel by 98%, reducing particulate matter emissions by 85%, and nitrogen oxide (NO x ) emissions by 80%.
