Emission levels are having a growing influence on consumer buying habits, according to a new survey of UK car dealers. Research undertaken by used car data firm HPI reveals a 52 per cent increase in dealers confirming that CO2 emissions influenced customers’ purchasing decisions in 2010 compared to 2007.

The UK government has today released figures of regional CO2 emission results with emissions falling in 335 out of 434 local authorities across the country. Today’s results show that total CO2 emissions have dropped by 2% between 2005 and 2007, with emission levels now reduced by 21% in comparison to 1990 levels.
