Saft is developing advanced Li-ion battery technology for Lockheed Martin’s 5 th Gen F-35 Lightning II. In 2002 Saft America Inc. To help reduce the aircraft weight Saft proposed a high power 28 V Li-ion battery, and this battery was used to fulfill the SDD phase of the program. kW @ -26°C and 1.5kW @-40°C.

Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault (Dassault) and Dow Kokam LLC have signed an agreement that outlines the intention to combine the business activities of Dassault’s Société de Vehicles Electriques (SVE) unit with Dow Kokam, making Dassault a minority owner of Dow Kokam, a joint venture between Dow Chemical and Townsend Kokam for Li-ion batteries.
