May 2023 – Tesla still dominates the Norwegian EV market

Growth continued for the Norwegian plugin EV market in May 2023, as combined plugin share hit almost 90%, up from 85% a year ago. more of the remaining market than last year. The overall auto market saw volumes of 13.342 units, up almost 16% YoY, and higher than May 2019. Whatever they can supply will doubtless be snapped up.

KBB: Average new vehicle transaction price in US in December up 1.9% from November; EV ATP dropped 5.5% due to Tesla

Earlier in the year, Tesla was increasing prices, citing supply issues. Sales volumes in December were up year-over-year by more than 5% but down from November, due in part to improved supply. Honda and Kia showed the most price strength in the non-luxury market, transacting between 5% and 6% over sticker price in December.

Stellantis and LG Energy Solution to form JV for Li-ion battery production in N America; 40 GWh plant

Kelley Blue Book: New-vehicle prices hit record high in November; average new EV price $65,041

According to Cox Automotive estimates, new-vehicle inventory is steadily improving, though some brands have a noticeably larger supply than others. In November 2019, the luxury share of the US market was 16.1%. Porsche and Land Rover showed the most price strength in the luxury market, transacting between 2% to 6.4% in October.

Mopar introduces new at-home plug-in wall chargers for Jeep 4xe models and Chrysler Pacifica

Available in plug-in or hardwired versions that supply 32 amps/7.7kW (maximum) of power, the new charging units provide a full charge in just over two hours, up to six times faster than standard Level 1 (120-volt) chargers. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is scheduled to arrive in North America early this year and in global markets later in 2022.

Kelley Blue Book finds average EV price in US down 5.4% in January due to Tesla price cuts
