ECS announces 2023-2024 ECS Toyota Young Investigator Fellowship recipients

Yaocai Bai and Yuzhang Li have received the 2023–2024 ECS Toyota Young Investigator Fellowships for projects in green energy technology. Yuzhang Li, University of California, Los Angeles. Li metal easily melts and evaporates by the electron beam; other materials degrade, too. Dr. Li became a member of ECS in January 2022.

PATHION develops new LiRAP-based solid-state electrolytes for Li-sulfur and sodium-ion batteries

At the Spring 2015 Materials Research Conference in San Francisco earlier this month, PATHION presented two new derivative superionic solid-state electrolytes built upon LiRAP (Lithium-Rich Anti-Perovskite). PATHION is working on a derivative for Li-sulfur batteries as well as a derivative that could be applied in a sodium-ion battery.

Tesla previews “Roadster 3.0” update; 70 kWh pack
