Metso Outotec contracted for technology for the Keliber Lithium Project

Sibanye-Stillwater’s subsidiary Keliber has selected Metso Outotec to provide its sustainable soda pressure leaching technology for Keliber’s lithium hydroxide refinery, which will be built in Kokkola, Finland. FREYR Battery announces public offering of 13,500,000 ordinary shares

FREYR Battery awarded €100M EU Innovation Fund grant

The grant will be funded through the EU’s Innovation Fund (EUIF) as part of the EU’s efforts to promote localized production of battery solutions. FREYR intends to install 50 GWh of battery cell capacity by 2025 and 100 GWh annual capacity by 2028 and 200 GWh of annual capacity by 2030.

Veolia launches largest project to produce bio-methanol from pulp mill waste

Metsä Fibre, part of Metsä Group, and Veolia recently signed a long-term partnership agreement on the refining of crude methanol generated in pulp production at the Äänekoski bioproduct mill into commercial biomethanol. The refinery, owned and operated by Veolia, will be adjacent and partly built into Metsä Fibre’s Äänekoski plant in Finland.

Johnson Matthey nickel-rich battery material eLNO to debut at COP26 in two-seater electric race car
