The European Commission presented its proposal for Euro 7 standards to reduce air pollution from new motor vehicles sold in the EU. While CO 2 emission rules will drive the deployment of zero-emission vehicles, it is important to ensure that all vehicles on European roads are much cleaner, the EC said. In 2035, all cars and vans sold in the EU are to have zero CO 2 emissions.

BMW has begun production of the fully-electric BMW iX1 in Regensburg; all its German plants can now produce electric cars. By 2024, at least one in three BMWs coming out of its Bavarian plants will be an electric car, said Milan Nedeljkovi?, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Production. The high-voltage battery in the BMW iX1 also comes from Regensburg.

Tesla is opening its EV charging connector design to charging network operators and vehicle manufacturers. The Tesla charging connector has been proven over a decade of use and 20 billion EV charging miles. It has no moving parts, is half the size, and twice as powerful as Combined Charging System (CCS) connectors. It offers AC charging and up to 1 MW DC charging.

Looking back only five years ago, the thought of electric commercial planes was laughable. It’s here. After months of waiting, Tesla has now started the rollout of FSD Beta V11. The update’s release was confirmed by CEO Elon Musk on Twitter. FSD Beta V11 is widely expected to be a substantial update for Tesla’s advanced driver-assist system, partly because Elon Musk has previously noted that V11 would adopt a single stack.
