GM Defense’s solution to the Army’s next-generation transportation needs is based off the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 midsize truck architecture and leverages 90% commercial off-the-shelf parts. These parts include the Multimatic dual spool-valve dampers and Chevrolet Performance suspension components.

The Chevrolet Colorado ZH2, the extreme off-road-capable fuel-cell-powered electric vehicle from General Motors, made its debut at the fall meeting of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). Standing more than 6½ feet tall and more than seven feet wide, the Colorado ZH2 was built on a stretched midsize pickup chassis.

A version of the all-new Colorado midsize pickup will be built and sold in the United States, Chevrolet confirmed today. The current-generation Colorado will be produced in Shreveport, La., The new Colorado is based on an all-new midsize truck architecture developed by GM do Brasil within GM’s global product development organization.

Chevrolet has introduced the diesel version ( earlier post ) of its 2016 Colorado midsize pickup truck. Colorado is the 2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year and Cars.com’s Best Pickup Truck of 2015.)
